Hey there!
I am an Associate Professor in Theoretical Philosophy at Cusano University, Rome. I’ve been a junior fellow and then an alumna fellow at the Käte Hamburger Kolleg “Cultures of Research (RWTH Aachen University) since 2021, and a member of the Labont – Center for Ontology of the University of Turin since 2015. From September 2025 to May 2026, I held the “Trandisciplinarity and Research on Complex Systems” Chair at the Iméra Institute for Advanced Studies (Aix Marseille Université). During my doctoral studies, I was a visiting scholar at the University College Cork, the University of Lisbon, and Wuhan University.
My research interests lie in metaphysics and philosophy of science. In particular, I study the nature of emergent phenomena and the relationships between the notion of emergence and those of reduction, novelty, complexity, and causation. I am interested in the philosophy of food too. Recently, I have been working on food narratives and their relationships with climate mitigation and adaptation.
